On Friday, February 21, 2025, Apostle Gilbert Halder received his retirement blessings after nearly 27 years of dedicated service to God.

He was ordained as a priest on November 30, 1998, and received the Apostle Ministry on December 3, 2003. He served in this role faithfully for 21 years. The retirement act was carried out by District Apostle Helper David Devaraj, based on the commission of our Chief Apostle.

On this occasion, District Apostle Helper David conveyed sincere gratitude for Apostle Halder’s work done in love for the Lord, along with heartfelt wishes for the Lord’s richest blessings in his retirement. The appreciation from the ministers and congregations was deeply felt and expressed.

Xinxian Restaurant in Dhaka served as the venue for the event, welcoming over 186 attendees, including special invitees from across Bangladesh.

During the event, the District Apostle Helper shared a sermon inspired by Acts 2:39, highlighting the eternal blessings and promises of God.

“ For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

Apostle Halder and his wife, Dolly, expressed their deep gratitude for the opportunities they had to serve in God’s work. They reassured us of their continued support and prayers, demonstrating their enduring faith and commitment to the Lord’s mission.

Following the service, the attendees and guests enjoyed a time of fellowship over a communal lunch. It was a heartwarming gathering, filled with shared memories, gratitude, and well wishes for Apostle Halder’s future. May the Lord continue to bless Apostle Gilbert Halder and his family in this new chapter of their journey.

Apostle Pravin Gajbhiv from India will be temporarily providing spiritual guidance and administrative support to the team and church in Bangladesh.
