For twenty-one years, Bishop Punuel Pahan fulfilled his ministerial duties with steadfast faith and unwavering commitment. On July 18, 2025, the Boldhipukur community bid him a grateful farewell, as District Apostle Helper David Devaraj bestowed a retirement blessing. The occasion was filled with heartfelt appreciation and cherished memories, celebrating a servant who truly gave his all.
Bishop Punuel Pahan was born on 11 January 1968 in Boldhipukur, Rangpur, Bangladesh. His journey of faith began in his youth when his father, the late Apostle Bisram Pahan, was baptized into the New Apostolic Church. Young Punuel Pahan received the Holy Sealing in 1978, setting him on the path of lifelong service to God and His children.
He began his ministerial journey as a Deacon in 2004 and was ordained as a Bishop in 2013 by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider. He faithfully led the work in northern Bangladesh, guiding and nurturing congregations across nearly seven major districts.
One of the moments Bishop Pahan treasures most from his years of service is witnessing the children he once baptized grow in faith and later receive their own ordination to serve in God’s Kingdom.
He is blessed with a loving family who have stood by him throughout his ministry. His wife has been serving as choir leader and Sunday School teacher for over ten years. Their elder son is a software engineer, and their younger son is completing his schooling while preparing to serve as a youth leader.
We thank Bishop Punuel Pahan for his years of tireless service, steadfast faith, and deep love for God’s work. May he and his family continue to experience God’s blessings in the years ahead.
