District Apostle Arnaud Martig visited Bangladesh in January 2026, along with Apostle Jonathan Sturm. This visit included congregational visits, seminars, and Divine Service that renewed the faith and fellowship of the members and ministers.
A few days prior to the arrival of our District Apostle, Apostle Sturm visited the congregations Chila and Boldhipukur. He met with the ministers and Sunday school leaders and conducted a seminar on Articles of Faith with a special focus on the Ninth Article of Faith. The Ninth Article describes in greater detail the return of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and life everlasting. Apostle Sturm also conducted a seminar with the youth in Dhaka.
On January 14, 2026, our District Apostle arrived in Bangladesh and visited the retired Apostle Halder and his family. The District Apostle spent time with the family, encouraged Apostle Halder (i.r) to continue the good work, and prayed for the family.
The next day, the District Apostle led a day-long seminar for the active ministers. He spoke about how ministers can remain one in spirit with God and the Chief Apostle and expand the work of the Church. The following session focused on 'The Ten Articles of Faith'. These discussions deepened the participants' understanding and encouraged them to serve in unity with God’s will.
Later that evening, the District Apostle met with the Bishop and some retired ministers for dinner. The evening was filled with catchups, reconnections, and lively conversations.
On January 16, 2026, District Apostle Arnaud Martig conducted the Divine service in Rajendrapur, Gazipur. Over 90 members took part in the fellowship. District Apostle based the sermon on the bible verse Mark 5:36.
"As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
During the sermon, the District Apostle shared that while fear is a natural part of our lives, we should not let it take control of our lives. He mentioned the story of Jarius's daughter, who died and was subsequently brought back to life by Jesus Christ, as an example. He encouraged us to hold on to our faith, believing that God will either change the situation or provide us the ability to persevere.
The Divine Service inspired the members to begin the year focusing on the motto, “Don’t be afraid, just believe.” They left motivated and better prepared to face their fears, putting their trust in God.
Following the Service, District Apostle Martig and Apostle Sturm visited the Dhaka office. They met with the administrative team and discussed the ongoing work of the Church in Bangladesh and the responsibilities connected with its administration.
Our District Apostle's visit brought rich spiritual blessings and valuable guidance to members and ministers in Bangladesh. It reinforced faith, deepened spiritual understanding, and provided encouragement for the continued work of the Church.
